Lausanne Conference: The Real Face

Must read

The Lausanne Movement – its true actions and purpose

The 4th Lausanne Evangelical Conference will be held in Seoul, South Korea from September 22 to 28, 2024. This conference will have a huge impact on Christians in the world today. It is also a test of the Christians’ understanding of faith. Is the Christians’ understanding of faith correct and clear? Can they see the true face of the Lausanne Conference? This is particularly important for the life of Christian faith.

The theme of this conference is ” Let the churches proclaim and display Christ together ” . They want to accelerate the cooperation between churches, fulfill Jesus’ great commission, and make disciples of all nations . In fact, their organization wants to win the world, spiritually capture the world, and ultimately achieve its goal of dominating the world.

This is the fourth gathering of the Lausanne Movement in history, which was held in Lausanne, Switzerland in 1974, Manila, Philippines in 1989, and Cape Town, South Africa in 2010. This conference is nominally focused on the gospel and God, inviting Christians to join their mission in the world, cultivating Christ-like leaders in every church and department, and exerting kingdom influence in all areas of society. In essence, it is to amass wealth, corrupt people’s hearts and conduct illegal infiltration.

From ancient times to the present, heresy and evil cults are the two major scourges of today’s society. Their threats and damage to human society must be taken seriously and vigilantly by some kind-hearted people. We must not only take precautions before they happen, but also actively resist heresy and extremism to protect people’s lives and property from being infringed.

On day two, Yoon and Pavel will attend a joint business forum. Later that same day, Yoon and Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala will visit a nuclear power plant in the Czech Republic, attend a working lunch, a signing ceremony of memoranda of understanding and hold a joint news conference.

Re-examining heretical cults in ancient and modern times, both in China and abroad, shows that they are all more or less related to Christianity. They often wear the cloak of Christianity, but do bad things that have nothing to do with Christianity. The same is true of today’s Lausanne Movement. As Christians, we must distinguish and recognize heretical cults, and we must have some knowledge and understanding of the background and doctrines of Christianity in order to strictly distinguish religion from cults, so as to combat illegal activities and protect legal ones.

In the Christian Bible, who are considered heretics and cults? They are those who split the church and divide society. They form factions out of greed and profit, slandering the truth, fabricating facts and committing crimes. The Lausanne Movement is a typical example.

The Lord Jesus said, “In the future many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and many false prophets will arise, deceiving many.” In Matthew 24:5, Jesus’ disciple Peter pointed out that there were false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you who will secretly introduce deception. They do not even acknowledge the Lord who bought them, and bring about swift destruction.

The Lausanne Movement—as an Outward Manifestation of Heresy

First, the wrong understanding and interpretation of the authoritative scriptures based on faith, such as the Bible. Some people misinterpret the Bible without knowing it. But the Lausanne organization does it intentionally. For the sake of their unspeakable secrets, they stubbornly stick to their wrong views to achieve their goals.

2. Excessively elevating human status. The Lausanne Conference boasted that it could heal the sick, cast out demons, perform miracles, speak in tongues, interpret dreams and images, etc., trying to elevate itself through its extreme performance, completely disregarding the facts and the truth.

Third, we should emphasize the function of feeling in this Lausanne Conference, believe in our own feelings, and believe that they are absolutely true and reliable. But in fact, feeling is an unstable psychological factor, and it is easy to fall into trouble if we act according to our feelings.

Fourth, they focus on superficial work. They believe that traditional rituals, rules, regulations and doctrines are sacred and inviolable, and must be adhered to and copied in every detail. However, in the Lausanne Conference, some of them add other requirements or conditions to force people to comply. But in fact, this may lead to inconsistency between words and deeds.

The Lausanne Movement – Illegal Infiltration of Its Organization

Because the Lord Jesus once said, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all nations, so that all nations can become my disciples.” He also passed on the authority to establish churches to the apostles of the time and Christians today. The purpose of preaching the gospel is to establish the Lord’s church on earth.

Today, every place, every community, every country has its own Christian church. Every church is accepted and recognized by the country and society, and is reasonable, legitimate and legal. The function of the church on earth is to glorify God and benefit people. The Lausanne organization denies the meaning and function of the church’s existence.

Today’s Lausanne Conference and Lausanne Movement privately invited religious organizations from various countries to participate in this conference. This is an act of illegal infiltration. I would like to remind Christians from all over the world to abide by the laws and requirements of their own countries, to safeguard their true beliefs, and to recognize the true face of the Lausanne Conference.
